Roman and Willams Guild
Roman and Williams Guild is a 7,000-square-foot design destination in SoHo, New York, founded by acclaimed designers Robin Standefer and Stephen Alesch. The Guild is a curated blend of original furniture and lighting, artisanal objects, and immersive experiences that reflect the duo’s signature approach to design—rooted in history, crafted for the present, and built to last. The space houses three distinct collections: “Founding,” featuring Roman and Williams’ own designs; “Community,” showcasing international artisans; and “Found,” highlighting antique pieces. This thoughtfully curated environment offers visitors a tactile, sensory journey through design, making it a destination for design enthusiasts and collectors alike.
Beyond its role as a design showroom, the Guild serves as a cultural hub, integrating a French café, La Mercerie, a flower shop by Emily Thompson, and a library, all within a restored 19th-century building. This multi-sensory approach reflects the founders' belief in creating spaces that are as much about experience as they are about design. The Guild has attracted a discerning clientele, including celebrities and design aficionados, and has become a benchmark for experiential retail in the luxury design sector. With its commitment to craftsmanship, storytelling, and immersive experiences, Roman and Williams Guild is poised for continued growth and influence in the design world.
